I am looking for a draft horse to pull my wagon and ride. If I find one this summer, I will need help in training and care issues in the Stanley area.

Hi Mary,
It sounds like she has natural balance shoes with wedge pads. Wedge pads take the tentions off the deep digital flexer tendon which takes the pressure off of the navicular bone. It is similar to wearing insoles in your shoes. I look forward to helping you with your new mare.

Alika worked with my mare, a rescue, that hadn't been handled for five years. He had her standing nicely very quickly and her feet look great now. I also had him put 30 days of training on her. She was very grren and she in now doing well on the trails. He is a great farrier and horseman that you can trust.
